Bryson DeChambeau Takes Masters Driving Distance Crown With Krank
I hope you all enjoyed one of the most exciting Masters Championships in a long time, if not ever.
Rory and Bryson battled it out all week and Rory came out on top in a one hole playoff over Justin Rose.
As you know, Bryson plays the Krank Fire Driver and fairway woods.
He took the Masters driving distance crown over Rory by a few yards. Both were around 340 yards beating the field by 15 yards.
Bryson’s Krank Fire driver is for golfers with world class ball speeds but Krank also makes two Fire driver models for us mortals.
I like the Fire XX head for most senior golfers and I build them with the Hiskei Wave shaft upgrade and it’s priced at $399. The Fire XX is designed for golfers that drive the ball under 200 yards or so. It has a super thin (and non-conforming) face for maximum trampoline effect. If you drive 200-250 yards then try the Fire X. It also has a non-conforming face but it’s a bit thicker than the XX model. I also combine this with the Wave shaft. The Fire Pro model is for over 250 yard drivers. All three models are on sale for $399 (same as direct from Krank) but with the Wave shaft upgrade at no extra charge.
I can combine the Krank Fire driver series with about any shaft, send me a note to talk about the right shaft/flex and to order.
Krank also has a new 13 degree Mini driver that’s great for tight fairways. Bryson also used the Krank fairway woods. I’m building those with the Wave shaft, also, priced on sale at $219 with the Wave shaft upgrade. Comes in 3/5/7/9/11/13/15 degree lofts! Send me a note to order or to talk about shaft combinations.
I have a customer that tried the Fire XX with a Project X LZ lightweight shaft that he likes to play and picked up 10-15 yards vs. his Callaway driver. I can still find these and will build the drivers on sale for $399 with this shaft.
If you bought a Krank driver elsewhere and would like to upgrade the shaft, I have the Krank adjustable sleeves and can ship you a Wave shaft with the sleeve installed and ready to screw into your Krank driver. Don’t want a Wave shaft? Let’s talk about other combinations.
Breakthrough Technology Paradox Zero Torque Putter
Breakthrough Golf has been releasing unique designs for a few years ago and their new Paradox putter continues this trend.
The hot putter trend over the past year is “zero torque”, popularized by L.A.B. golfs super hot putter design.
Breakthrough took Paradox a step further than just your basic zero-torque putter by using Principal Axis Technology. The weight is high in the toe and low in the heel so it’s swing balanced and the putter stays square through the swing path.
According to Breakthrough:
Paradox™ achieves swing balance through Principal Axis alignment, which optimizes performance dynamically through the golfer’s stroke. This works just like a car alignments to deliver smooth, reliable performance.
Why Don't Other Companies Use It?
They stick to conventional putter designs focused on center of gravity optimization. The emphasis is on weight distribution, center of gravity, and face balancing, but no one has fully optimized how a putter behaves dynamically during the stroke.
Paradox is the only putter balanced to stay square to your swing path.
The Paradox design offers:
More putts made & 10% Closer to the hole on misses
Achieved pure roll 20% quicker than the competition.
Price is $499 plus shipping and includes a Breakthrough low torque graphite putter shaft. Choice of mallet design or blade. Let me know the length you’d like and I’ll get one out to you asap. I’m placing an opening order with them in a day or so, please order ASAP if you’d like one of these high tech putters.
