Hiskei Fairway Woods
I’ve had some nice feedback from my customers on the Hiskei MK700 fairway woods. I received some orders after customers let their friends hit the club did well with them.
They’re available in #3 wood and #5 wood. The heads are a bit lighter than standard fairway woods so I can make them 1/2”-1” longer for a bit more distance. They come with a great Hiskei shaft but it’s only available in an R flex, which is a soft R flex (think in-between senior flex and regular flex). The price with the stock shaft is $175 each.
I also like to build these with the Fujikura Vista Pro. It’s available in about any weight and any flex you’d like. The price is $225 with this shaft upgrade, $239 each with the Hiskei Wave.
Here’s one testimonial on the MK700 fairway woods:
John,
Thanks for the Hiskei fairway metals! They are absolutely high quality clubs and match perfectly with the driver. I’m really confident with them as they are much straighter than my previous metals and easy to hit.
I’m very pleased with my purchase and your help in picking the best clubs for my game.
Kind regards,
Scott
Send me a note for help choosing the right shaft/flex for the Hiskei MK700 fairway woods and to order.
I still have about 100 shafts in stock. I am out of the UL440 A Flex but have the lighter UL640 in A/senior flex. It’s 55 grams and 3.0 torque and price is $48 (see more below).

Fujikura Ventus
You might have noticed the familiar Fujikura Ventus logo on TV over the summer in the bags of most of the winners of the big tournaments for the past few years. This is no surprise as the Fujikura Ventus shaft is in the drivers of 25% of the field week in and out on the PGA Tour.
This is an amazing number of Tour pros putting this shaft in play in their driver.
The idea behind the Ventus line is that they designed an incredible stable graphite shaft and Tour pros are able to play a bit lighter shaft than they normally would and pick up swingspeed and distance without sacrificing control.
There are 4 Ventus shaft lines, from low launch to high, they are:
Ventus Black (lowest launch/spin), Ventus TR, Ventus Blue, Ventus Red (highest launch/spin).
The Ventus shafts are available in superlight, soft flexes up to heavier weight, tour x flexes. I can help you choose the correct weight and flex for your game if you send me a note.
The price for the Ventus is $350, installed only. I’ll do a special with free OEM sleeve/install with any Ventus shaft purchase. ($40 value). Send me a note to order.
Graman Limey 50% off
As I’ve written a few times this summer, I received the sad news earlier this summer that my friends at Graman have decided to close up shop and retire from the golf biz after about 30 years of making some of the most consistent (+/- 1 CPM) high end shafts you can buy. They have a smooth feel that will remind you of some of the $350+ Japanese OEM shafts. They’re unusual in that they come in 48” raw lengths (vs. 46” for most shafts). You can build a 48” (non-conforming, max length is 46”) driver to dazzle your scramble partners with huge drives and also the day glo yellow shaft color.
They’ve offered to sell me their remaining stock of their Ultimate G-LIMEY series shafts at a great price and I’m passing along 50% off savings to Clubmaker Report readers.
I still have a few Senior flex UL640’s, a good supply of Regular flex UL640’s, and plenty of stiff and x flex in all models.
Here’s what I have:
UL440 is 58 grams, 48” and 3.3 torque. In R, or S flex, retail is $54 each, your price is $27.
UL540 is 67 grams, 48” and 2.4 torque. Stiff flex. Retail is $75, your price $37.50 each.
UL580 is an 85 gram 41” hybrid shaft. 2.0 torque. Stiff and X flex. Retail $38, your price is $19.
UL640 is 55 grams, 48”, 3.0 torque. In A flex $96 retail, your price is 48.
UL680 is 95-98 grams, 41”, 1.9 torque in R, S, X flex. $38 retail, your price $19 each.
I set up an order page page so you can finally order direct on my square order entry pages. Order here. If you prefer or need help choosing the right shaft or flex, or want me to email invoice you, simply send me an email here and I’ll help you choose/send instructions for ordering.
When my stock runs out that’s it, I can’t get this any longer.
I can install these on an OEM sleeve, add $40 for the sleeve/install labor, there’s a link at the order entry page to add this option.
Oversized Non-Conforming Driver
I’ve got a great looking non-conforming driver head that I’m building with a Graman UL640 shaft for a special price of $250.
The head is non-conforming both for size (it’s 480cc, conforming=460cc) and for spring face/CT
USGA conforming for CT is 239 microseconds and this head has been measured at 312 microseconds, 25% over the USGA max. It has a very thin 2.8mm face to accomplish this.
It’s premium 2 piece cast design is the same as the OEM heads (forged heads are typically 4 piece with many more welds vs. cast).
It’s available in 12 degree loft and 14 degree loft with an adjustable sleeve.
Send me a note for help choosing flex and to order.
Hiskei Boyka Driver
The Hiskei Boyka driver is designed for distance. It is a lightweight head at only 193 grams so I can build it to longer lengths (standard is 46”) and still have a lightweight driver that is easy to hit. Some of the major US OEM’s and Japanese OEM’s charge $600-$700 and up for a similar spec driver.
I can build it with the Graman Limey shafts or it’s excellent with the Hiskei 45gram superlight shaft or the Hiskei Wave shaft. Price is $399. It’s available with a gold face/sole or a more subtle matt black. Loft is 9.5 or 10.5 degree. Send me a note to order.
Here’s a testimonial (he bought a set with the Boyka driver and Hiskei MK700 fairway):
re: Boyka/wave
I gotta tell you, I love the Hiskei driver (Boyka) you made for me. It’s literally 20-40 yards longer than any driver I’ve ever had. It’s also darn straight. I’m really impressed with it and looking forward to getting the fairway woods!
Best,
Scott
